Apples for Breakfast

I think my cold is making a come back.  Blah

So, I made a wonderful brunch to  help soothe the aches and pains.

Apple Cobbler Oatmeal

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.  Add 1/2 cup oldfashioned oats.  Time for 5 minutes.

Half way added one cored and diced apple (any kind you like), 2 Tbsp of raisins, cinnamon (I added a lot, but you can choose to add less). Continue to stir until the 5 minutes are up.

Take oatmeal off of stove and put into your favorite bowl!

Top with brown sugar, walnuts, and milk (I used vanilla soy milk, so I didn’t need as much sugar)

I made a green monster to go alongside!  This is definitely a powerhouse breakfast.  🙂

Hope everyone is having  a wonderful Sunday!

If you are looking for some Sunday reading besides the newspaper, here are a few pages that I think you should check out.

OhSheGlows (one of my favorite food blogs)

My Running Legs (a favorite post)

Have fun!

Time for me to study some more and then gear up for a run.  I’m going to try and get 3 miles in today!
